The NUX Mighty Space is a force to be reckoned with. Powerful enough to drive a 4 x 12-inch cabinet, as a combo amp it is capable of producing 30 watts of pure sound from a dual 4-inch coaxial speaker — a setup crafted specifically for handling the wide range of guitar, bass, and acoustic tones born out of the White Box Amp Modeling algorithm, 512 samples resolution impulse responses (IR), and over 40 individual effects. Combined with onboard controls, Bluetooth connectivity, and compatibility with the Mighty Amp app — allowing for editing and saving presets, establishing signal chains, tweaking tone, and customizing the built-in drum machine. That’s when we discovered that the NUX team had a few more tricks up their sleeves. Instead of AA batteries, the Mighty Air comes equipped with rechargeable batteries, which will last for up to 7 hours. Likewise, NUX provides a wireless transmitter that is compatible with active and passive pickups and delivers a cord-free playing experience when paired with the built-in receiver. Throw in USB audio stream functionality, an NMP-2 Lite footswitch, and drum/loop modes, and It’s clear the designers at NUX did not rest until they packed every feature they could into the Mighty Space modeling amp.
